The International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) for Brain & Behavior offers a new Master Fellowship Program for excellent 1st year MSc students who have been admitted to a MSc program in the field of neuroscience, biology, computer science, mathematics or a related field at the University of Bonn and who are interested in exploring the field of neuroethology. IMPRS for Brain & Behavior is a collaboration between the Max Planck Institute for Neurobiology of Behavior - caesar (MPINB), the University of Bonn, and the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) in Bonn. IMPRS for Brain & Behavior focuses on providing theoretical and methodological training in neuroethology and modern neuroscience methods.
Who can apply?
- 1st year MSc students in a MSc program at the University of Bonn (neuroscience, biology, computer science, mathematics or a related field).
- Admission to MSc program for WS 24/25.
What do we offer?
- Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of €934 for the duration of their Master's studies (max. 1.5 years until the start of their Master's thesis project).
- An outstanding international research environment with an excellent infrastructure for training and research in facilities with state-of-the-art technologies.
- All admitted students will choose a Principal lnvestigator of our internationally renowned faculty as a student mentor. As part of the mentor's group, Master fellows actively participate in the scientific and social activities of the selected group and have regular advisory meetings with their mentor. Thus, already at an early stage of their scientific career, Master fellows will have the unique chance to identify the research field they are most passionate about for their future path as a PhD student.
